Mary Lou Lavin-Green, age 94, of Gulfport, MS passed away on January 24, 2024 at Lakeview Nursing Home.
She was born on September 29, 1929 in Sumrall, MS to the late John & Mary Tannehill. She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Green; and her 18 siblings.
Mary Lou was a devout Christian and enjoyed going to church. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Biloxi for many years. Mary Lou was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time reading and especially the Bible. Mary Lou enjoyed watching the old sitcoms and sharing a laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Garry (Cynthia) Green, and Kenneth (Deborah) Dillon; grandchildren, Garry Green Jr., Bridgette Green, Cherie Dillon, Chantel Kennedy, Tabitha Bland, Angela Lehner, Matthew Dillon, and Damien Dillon. Mary Lou also leaves behind to cherish her memories 17 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home- Gulfport Chapel (11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home with burial to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
