Mary B. Ladner

Mary B. Ladner, 81, of Pass Christian has gone to meet her late husband of 54 years, Horace Lee Ladner.
They were the former owners of Mary's Drive Inn in Gulfport for 42 years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Percy Bates, Sr and Sadie Mason Bates; sister, Dot Atwell; and brother, Oather Bates.
She is survived by her five children, Christine(L.D.) Conn of Pass Christian, MS; Chris(Sandra) Caccioppo of Pass Christian, MS; Glenn(Debra) Ladner of Birmingham, AL; Gloria(Sonny) Kirschenheuter of Pass Christian, MS; and Gwendy(Larry) Goldman of Orange Beach, AL. She also leaves behind two sisters, Panzie Cuevas and Mildred Scott; one brother Percy Bates, Jr; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was a friend and a wonderful mother and she was always there for us. We will forever miss her and forever be grateful.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday March 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church on Menge Ave in Pass Christian. A graveside service will be held following the memorial mass at 3 p.m. at Wolf River Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have memorial contributions made to Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
