Mary Evelyn Vance Gorham, 73 of Gulfport died Friday, May 26, 2006 in Gulfport.
She was a native of Kosciusko, MS and was a longtime resident of the coast. She retired as a seamstress at the Stuff Shirt Factory in Pass Christian and enjoyed bowling and spending time with her friends at the Gulfport Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Gorham was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence S. """"Biggon"""" Vance, Sr. and second husband Barry Gorham; parents, Sam and Ida Bullock; 3 brothers: Hoyt Bullock, Jody Bullock, and Jesse Bullock; and 1 sister, Margie Rimbach.
Survivors include 3 children: Stanley (Pam) Vance, Saucier, Denise Vance, Gulfport, and Sammy Vance, Hancock County; 4 grandchildren: Grant (Ginny) Vance, Kenneth Vance, Pepper Vance, and Daniel Vance; and 1 great-grandchild, Hannah Behan.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Odyssey Hospice for their care and support.
The funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc., Three Rivers Road Chapel where friends may visit from 11 am until service time at 12 noon.
Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
