Mary Kathern Fields, age 83, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on March 1, 2021.
Mary was a native of Columbus, Indiana. She went to cosmetology school and was a instructor at Chris’s Beauty College. Mary loved bowling, watching movies, and listening to the Eagles. Mary was of the Baptist faith, she was a warm, compassionate, and very giving person. She never met a stranger who did not love her and some even called her “Mom”. Mary is most known for her giving heart, as many of us have been on the receiving end of her generosity. She was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.
Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her father, Ray Taylor; her mother, Edna Saffel; her husband, Clymus D. Fields; and her son, Forrest Fenton Fields.
Mary is survived by her sons, Mark Ladd Fields, of Shreveport, LA, and Kenny Wayne Fields of Brisbane, Australia; her sister, Larene Ackenback of Columbus, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Daniel Patrick, Amy Fields, and Bonnie K. Gartman.
“Mom I know you’ve loved me as long as I’ve lived but I’ve Loved you my whole life.”
Proverbs 31:28-29, Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
