Mary Faneca

Mary """"Mae"""" Lucy Famiglio Faneca, age 93, a resident of Gulfport since 1957, passed away on January 31, 2009 at the home of her son in Gulfport and in the loving care of her two daughters and daughter-in-law.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril T. Faneca; her mother, Mary Conti Famiglio (born in Palermo, Italy); her father, Salvador Famiglio (born in Messina, Italy); and her sisters, Bridget Spataro Georgio and Dominica Famiglio Vieages.
Mae is survived by her children, Cyril """"Cy"""" T. Faneca, Jr (Georgia Anne), Paula Faneca Rushing (Danny), and Mary Faneca Donegan (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Lance Smith, Sean Smith (Cathy), Ron Donegan (Sharyl), Brian Donegan (Kelli), Robert Faneca (Lee), and Michael Faneca; her great grandchildren, Christian, Madeline, Sulli, Nathan, Collin, Taylor, Lucy, Caleb, Caroline, Lizzie, and Hayden; and her brother, Joseph P. Famiglio.
On behalf of their mother, Mae's children extend special thanks to Father John of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Reverend Deacon Dick Henderson of St. James Parish.
The family requests memorials be made to one's favorite charity.
A Memorial Mass will be offered on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 6:30 PM at St. James Catholic Church, Cowan Road, Gulfport, Mae's Parish. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the Mass from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM. Burial by her family will be held at a later date.
