Mary Ellen O'Neal Dillard, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on June 29, 2018.
She was a native of Broad Creek, NC, and married A.C. Dillard on June 25, 1949. She was active in supporting Veteran's Affairs and Northern Plains Reservation Aid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Dillard; her parents, Adolphus and Ruth Smith O'Neal; and a brother, William Finley O'Neal.
She was a loving mother of five children, Reed (Phyllis) Dillard, Rhonda (Charles) Yeager, Dwain (Connie) Dillard, Karen (Gary) Snell, and Kyle (Vicki) Dillard; grandchildren, Michael Flynt, Angela "Angie" Lewis, Lindsay (Haley Kelly) Dillard, Marissa (Alex) Kasarov, Brian (Christina) Dillard, Eric Dillard, Kary Snell, and Taylor Dillard; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, from 9 - 10 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A graveside service will be at 11 am in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the DAV or any Veteran's Charity.
The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, Dr. Libys, American Medical Response, and Gulfport Fire Department.
