Mary Christine D'Angelo, age 86 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. D'Angelo was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She retired from the Harrison County Tax Assessor's Office after 28 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Daisy Cowart; her husband, Charles John D'Angelo and her two sons, Jimmy D'Angelo and Jerry (Sandra) D'Angelo.
Mrs. D'Angelo is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Tony) Schexnayder of Long Beach; her grandchildren, Christine (David) Spinks of Long Beach, Traci (Jonathan) White of Brandon, and Charles R. (April) D'Angelo of Denver, CO; her great grandchildren, Andrew ""Drew"" Daughdrill of Long Beach and Kaylee D'Angelo and Ashlynn D'Angelo both of Denver and her daughters-in-law, Melissa D'Angelo of Gulfport and Nancy D'Angelo of Pass Christian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11:00am at St. John Catholic Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. John Catholic Church.
