Mary Conners

Mary Ann “Marie” Conners, age 71, a native of Greenock, Scotland and current resident of Diamondhead, MS, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Donnelly and Sarah Hoy; brother, Bill Donnelly; and sister, Ruby Donnelly.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 52 years, Irvan J. Conners, Jr.; her children, Irvan Conners, III, and Tara Barras Conners; her siblings, Elizabeth Graham, Francis (Helen) Donnelly, Bernedette Donnelly, Sally Culligan, Robert Donnelly; sister in law, Katie Donnelly; and her grandchildren, Hannah Conners, and Estelle Conners; and great grandchildren, Vincent Patterson, and Abram Patterson.
She was the loving wife of a Navy sailor, Irvan Conners, Jr., whose father fought in the Army during WWII. Her son, Iran Conners, III, served in the U.S. Navy, and his daughter (Marie’s granddaughter, Hannah), is currently and proudly serving in the U.S. Navy.
Mary Ann was employed with the Beau Rivage, where she was awarded employee of the month and received acknowledgement for 20 years of dedication, remarkable job performance, and pleasant attitude toward her fellow employees and guests.
She enjoyed, traveling abroad, collecting elegant figurines, shopping, cooking, gardening, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00pm, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 12:00pm, both at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 141 Highway 90, Waveland, MS.
