Mary Evelyn Wiltz Clemens passed away 1/14/2010 at 90 years of age, in Amory, MS where she moved after Katrina. The daughter of Andrea Marie Dugas Wiltz and Septien Wiltz, she was born 1/27/1919 in Maumau, LA.
In her young married life she was a homemaker who devoted herself to the care of her immediate and extended family. She served others as Cub Scout Leader, school volunteer, parish bazaar worker, Legion of Mary member, volunteer driver for the sisters and was devoted to the Irish priests. Widowed at age 50, she went to work for Litton (now Northrup Grumman) where she worked until she was 85 - never missing a day's work.
Preceded in death by her one true love, her husband, Julee Clemens, her parents, sister, Antoinette Wiltz Blackmon, brothers, Alphonsus (Gammy) Wiltz and Dauterive (Toby)Wiltz. She is survived by a son, Patrick (Dorothy) Clemens, a daughter, Mryna Clemens Jordan, six grandchildren: Gregory (Sherri) Clemens, Christopher (Georgie Clemens, Jonathan (Rebecca) Clemens, Geoffrey (Eve) Clemens, Daniel Jordan, Anastacia Jordan, 14 great grandchildren: Marguerita, Jules Lee, Genevieve, Rebecca, Nick, Jack, Gus, Hank, Thomas, Emily, Bailey, Jacob, Will, and Mary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A long time member and daily communicant of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula, MS, she will return to be buried there. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, preceded by visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. Interment will be in the Old Biloxi Cemetery north of the tracks. In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have donations made to Our Lady of Victories Rebuilding Fund, P.O. Box 368, Pascagoula, MS 39567.
