Mrs. Mary Nell Avara Boykin, age 82, native of Meridian, MS and a resident of Gulfport died on Thursday, June 21, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Boykin was preceded in death by her parents, Ben C. Avara, Sr. and Rubye Thomas Avara; first husband, Eugene Yarbrough; and a brother, Ben C. Avara, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of over 28 years, Mr. Richard C. Boykin of Gulfport; son, Thomas Eugene Yarbrough of Mexico; two sisters, Shirley Massey of Meridian, MS and her husband, Lavelle and Jean Carol Luke of Gulfport; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will take place on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in the Chapel Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the cemetery from 9:30 until 10.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 3100 Samford Avenue Shreveport, LA 71103 Telephone 318-222-5704.
