Mary Sardos Barrett, age 87 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Barrett was born in Kiln on July 17, 1920 and had been a resident of Gulfport for over 50 years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Felicity Sardos; her husband, Cary H. Barrett; one sister, Sylvina Fahye; two half sisters, Laura Starita and Lucy Necaise and one brother, Andrew Sardos.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by one niece, Lalla Jean Dye; four half nieces, Joy Koniak, Shirley Schroeder, Helen Crouch, and Leigh Tanner; three half nephews, Salvador and Lawrence Starita and Alton Necaise; one great niece, Melissa Moore and two great nephews, Keith and Curtis Dye, and many others.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 1:00pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
