Mary Margaret Armstrong

Mary Margaret Armstrong passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2023, at the age of 84. She was surrounded by loved ones at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Margaret graduated from Laboure High School and later attended St. Louis University.

Throughout her life, Mary Margaret dedicated herself to her family as a loving homemaker. Her kind and nurturing nature brought joy and comfort to those around her.

Mary Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Francis Effertz. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Richard Armstrong of Diamondhead, Mississippi.   Mary Margaret is also survived by her son Richard Armstrong and wife Felicia, brother Edward Klein and wife Sue, granddaughter Alyssa Armstrong. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Joseph Effertz and niece Beth Effertz. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Mary Margaret's compassionate spirit lives on through supporting vital research and assistance for those affected by this disease.
