Mary Lee Andrews, age 90, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 in Gahanna, OH.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold B Andrews; and her son, Harold B. Andrews, Jr.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her brother, Robert W. Brown of Springfield MO; her daughter, Maureena Andrews Renner and son-in-law, Robert P. Renner; her grandchildren, Stephen, Melissa, David (and Katie), and Thomas; and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Callum, Sarah and Paul.
She was devoted to family and community, was involved in PTA, was a ""Census Enumerator"", played in many bridge clubs along the Coast, participated at the Biloxi Garden Center, belonged to Bay Vista Garden Club and was involved in flower shows. She won first place for her ""Purple Dawn"" camellia as well as other numerous awards for her floral arrangements. She volunteered for the Red Cross serving as a Grey Lady for many years and a member of the Lions Club of Biloxi. While a member of Alpha Delta Chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, she helped get ready for opening the Crippled Children Clinic. She was an accomplished seamstress; she made ballet costumes for her daughter as well as surprise dresses. When she made a dress for her daughter, she always made the same one for her daughter's favorite doll as well. She loved to draw and paint casually to record moments in her life. After living on the Coast for 57 years, she bravely moved to Ohio to live with her daughter and her family, becoming a constant loving presence. She played the piano, crosswords, bridge on the computer, and loved being able to be with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
