Mary Margaret Adamo

Mary Margaret Lewis Adamo “Blondie” age 79, of Latimer, passed away on January 31, 2023. She was born in Tickfaw, Louisiana to Mr. Manuel and Mrs. Frances Lewis and attended Independence High School. She had been a resident of Latimer for over 25 years. She was a dedicated member of Latimer Assembly of God and was well known for playing her tambourine regularly during church service. She filled many roles in the church including teaching the nursery class, greeting visitors at the door, cleaning the church regularly, and working as the assistant secretary of the church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Frances Lewis; and first husband, Roy J. Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Adamo of Latimer; two children, Richard James Hill of Tickfaw, LA, Michelle Dean (Mark) of Lovington, NM; three grandchildren, Micheal Dean (Meaghan), Matthew Dean and Malachi Dean; two great-grandchildren, Mavery Dean and Maverick Dean; children by marriage, Lisa Devries, Darlene Gros (Dennis), John Adamo (Christina), and Anthony Adamo; grandchildren by marriage, Derrick Miller, Ryan Miller, Shannon Wall, Amanda Long, Michelle Adamo, Danielle Ellis, Denise Adamo, Jade Adamo, Shadie Adamo, Jasmine Adamo, John Adamo, Jr.; and siblings, Rosie Lewis, Frances Moore (Lonny), John Lewis, and Manuela Pierson (Billy).

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Latimer Assembly of God Church, 15401 Allie Byrd Rd Ocean Springs, MS 39565. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
