Marvin Kattengell

Marvin A. Kattengell, age 76 of Diamondhead died, Friday, June 13, 2008 in Diamondhead surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Clara Kattengell.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Myra Kattengell; children, Kim Hynes and husband Jim of New Orleans and Kay Maitrejean and her husband Eugene of Birmingham, AL; sister, Margo Albe of Lafayette, LA; three granddaughters, Meredith, Margaret and Madelyn and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kattengell was born in New Orleans and resided in St. Bernard Parish for 50 years before moving to Diamondhead. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was retired from American Can Company.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was an avid sportsman. He had a loving heart, and was full of life and laughter.

Celebration of the funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Annunciation Catholic Church 5370 Liln Delisle Road, Kiln, MS 39556. Family and friends may call at the church from 12 noon -2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Ochsner Health System
