Martin Lipscomb

Martin Douglas Lipscomb, age 48, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Slidell, LA.

Douglas was a native of Naples, Italy and a long-time resident of Long Beach. He graduated from Indiana State University and from Law Enforcement Training.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Following his military service, he worked in law enforcement for 25 years, and was currently a Deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.

Douglas was a very loving man and will be missed with all our hearts. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and son. He loved spending time traveling and with motorcycles, but most importantly, time with his family and his fur babies, Mia and Tera. He was also a member of the Southern Star Masonic Lodge of Long Beach.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Bout’s Routes Motorcycle Group.

Preceding him in death is his father, Martin Henry Lipscomb; his mother, Fumiko T. Lipscomb; his sister, Dianna Lynn Shaver; and his fur baby, Apollo.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Michele Lipscomb, his children, David, Christian, Ryan, Daniel, and Ayden; his grandchildren, Savannah, Raelynn and Maddox; his nephew, Jeff Shaver; and many other loving family members and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Saturday, September 4th.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS.

A Funeral Procession will leave at 2;45 p.m. going to Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach, where a Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m.
