Martha Prine

Martha Nell Prine of Long Beach, was born in Wiggins on October 25, 1937 to Sarah (Sadie) and Wiley Pettis. She went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2011.
Her dream of travel and sense of adventure was fulfilled when she married her husband George Prine on June 10, 1956. She traveled with her husband (electrical engineer) across the country
to Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, New York, and California, finally settling in Long Beach in 1972.
She was employed at the Gulf Shore Baptist Assembly until her retirement in 1993. Martha Nell (just Nell) was an active member of First Baptist Church, Long Beach, MS. She was a faithful leader of her Sunday School Class, the Naomi Ladies. Nell could be found in the kitchen helping serve for all church events. She looked forward each summer to Vacation Bible School being affectionately known by the kids as the ""kool-aid-Lady"".
She was a humble person with a sweet smile that radiated to all. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways, a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend loved by all who knew her.
Her parents and dear uncle Ransom Walters went to the Lord before her.
She is survived by her husband, of 54 years, George; her son, Alan and his wife Rita; two grandsons, Justin and his wife Micah, and Patrick of Austin, TX; one granddaughter, Sarah of Waco, TX; two brothers, Wiley Pettis of Ft Walton Beach, FL and Bob Pettis of Smithville, TN; her aunt, Myra Walters of Lucedale, MS; and her mother-in-law, Beatrice Prine of Wiggins, MS.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach, MS.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00AM at the funeral home chapel and will be conducted by her former Pastor Dr David Spencer . Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
Due to burial site restrictions for flowers, memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
