Martha Cutts Phillips, age 70 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Phillips was a resident of Gulfport since 1985, was a member of Bayou View Baptist Church, and was an avid square dancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady & Mary Cutts; her husband, James Kenneth Phillips, and her brother-in-law, Jim Hathorn.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her son, Richard R. (Eileen) Perez of Gulfport; her two sisters, Dee Hathorn of Louisville, MS and Linda Newman of Fort Smith, AR; her three grandchildren, Melissa Perez (Jay) Sanzin of Gulfport, Nicole Perez (Jared) Aucoin of Lafayette, LA, and Richard Christopher Perez of Gulfport and her five great grandchildren.
The family prefers memorials to French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, MS 39745, or Fentress Baptist Church, 13569 Fentress Panhandle Road, Weir, MS 39722.
Services will be held and announced at a later date.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
