Martha Frances Hall

Martha Frances Hall, 86 of Long Beach, MS passed away on November 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 30, 1938 in Sheffield, AL to the late Robert & Magie “Louise” Rushing. Martha is preceded in death by her parents.

Martha graduated in 1956 from Morgan County High School in Hartselle, AL. She met Charles on her front porch in June of 1957, and they were later married on January 17, 1959. Charles was in the Navy, and together they were stationed all around the world. Together they helped raise their three children, while working on her career. Martha was a nurse and worked in a variety of hospitals in Uvalde, TX; Annapolis, Maryland; and Gulfport, MS. Together Martha and Charles moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1989 and has made Long Beach their home ever since.

Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church of Long Beach and attended their Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed doing many handy crafts and projects. Martha also belonged to the knitting class at the Pass Christian, Library and helped volunteer at the Long Beach Public Library. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many. Her legacy lives on in all of us, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Hall; children, Patrick (Gail) Hall, Alice (Thomas) Harlan, and Allen (JoLynn) Hall; grandchildren, Cara Hall, Hunter (Anastasia) Hall, and Ali Hall; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Hall; and brother, Charles (Tonnie) Rushing; and her bonus family, Savannah French, Marlie Rath, and Ben Rath. Martha also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach (19130 Commission Road, Long Beach).  Her Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, in Long Beach.
