Marston Keith Rogers, ChFC, CLU, age 87, of Saucier, Mississippi passed away on July 7, 2024, in Gulfport, MS. He was born in East Moline, Illinois to the late Horace Marston “Hap” Rogers and Thelma Stanberry Rogers. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra Greenwood.
Keith leaves his cherished memories to his loving wife Catherine Ann Rogers; three sons Lee Rogers (Kathy), Scott Rogers, and David Rogers; brother Rick Rogers (Vickie); sisters Sara McClinton (Jim), Julie Blake (Steven), and Nancy Dungan (Don); five grandchildren Joseph Ladner (Summer), Joshua Ladner (Jessica), and Annie Rogers; great grandchildren Timothy, Jessica, Bobby, Serenity, and Stephen; five great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members.
He joined the United States Air Force at 17 and retired in 1974 with the rank of Major. After retiring from the Air Force, he pursued a career in insurance and financial services. He earned the Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter designations from the American College of Financial Services. In 2006 he retired to care for his wife, Ann.
Keith served several local churches as a music minister and volunteered in children’s ministries, after first accepting Jesus as his Savior at 10 years old. Reflecting on his time teaching children, he once said “I learned a whole lot more than the kids”. Since he was a child Keith loved technology and radios. During the past year he found great friendship in his HAM radio group.
The family will receive friends 9:30 to 10:30 am Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Bel-Aire Baptist Church, located at 15080 Dedeaux Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10:30 am at the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 pm with military honors.
