Marshall Preston Skinner

Marshall Preston Skinner, born on March 19, 1957, in Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. 

Marshall was a devoted husband to his late wife, Donna Skinner, with whom he shared an enduring partnership of 42 years. Together, they built a family that would grow to include five loving children: Amy Yarborough (David), Marshall Skinner (Shawna), Amber Skinner, Larry Skinner, and James Skinner (Mariah). His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his 13 grandchildren and a soon-to-be great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Throughout his life, Marshall found joy in various activities that brought happiness to those around him. Fishing, engaging in spirited card games, tending to his garden, and the playful camaraderie of playing spoons with family and friends were just a few of the pastimes that brightened his days. His charisma and vibrant spirit always filled the room, making lasting impressions and creating cherished memories for all who had the pleasure to know him.

Marshall is also survived by his siblings, Glenn Holland (Sarah), Donna Blake (Frank) and Steve Skinner, who together with his children carry forward the warm essence of a man who brought laughter and joy to the lives he touched.

In addition to his immediate family, Marshall holds a cherished place in the hearts of many, remembered as a man whose warmth, humor, and love will resonate eternally in the memories of those he leaves behind. His life, though too short, was filled with love, laughter, and a profound impact on his family and community. He will be greatly missed but celebrated for the life he led and the legacy he leaves.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, the funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, interment will follow at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
