Marlan "Marty" Byers, age 55, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Gulfport.
He was a race and car enthusiast. He was a dedicated Shipfitter at Halter Marine in Pascagoula. He was really looking forward to being a dad again to his little baby girl. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Patton.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Bradly Byers of Ocean Springs and Brently Byers (Briana) of Bay St. Louis; daughter, Paityn Byers of Saucier; life partner, Catrina Brooks of Saucier; grandson, Brayden Byers of Ocean Springs; nephews, Rusty Patton, Nicholas Patton, Michael Patton and Tyler Remele; and niece, Shauna Adair.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
