Mark Grayson Fletcher, 65, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Canon Hospice in Gulfport, Mississippi after a long battle with cancer.
Mark was born in July of 1955 in Conway, SC to John Grayson Fletcher, a talented composer and educator and Carol Ann Snyder Ready, a very loving and dedicated Mother. He was preceded in death by his father and his mother and is survived by his beloved cats, Digger, Rascal, Jackson, and Callie and her two kittens, as well as numerous cousins.
During his life Mark served a short tour with the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He also was in armed security for Arizona Supreme Court, diamond sales and gold transport, asset protection for FEMA, Deputy Sheriff for Hancock County and most recently, Special Police Officer at the Army Ammunition Plant at Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Mississippi. Mark enjoyed gun collecting, fishing, boating, and driving.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, corner of 23 St. and 23 Ave. in Gulfport at 10 a.m.
