Marjorie Ruth Morrison, a devoted media specialist and passionate advocate for education, passed away on November 7, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 98. Born on August 12, 1926, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Marjorie lived a life dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in her community.

Marjorie's educational pursuits culminated in earning a Master’s Degree, which facilitated her impactful career as a media specialist for public schools in Oshkosh. Her commitment to enriching the educational experience of her students was evident throughout her career, and she was known for her innovative approaches to integrating media and technology in the classroom.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marjorie was a passionate supporter of animal rescue organizations, demonstrating her compassionate nature and love for all living beings. A die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, she made it a point never to miss a game. In addition to her sports enthusiasm, Marjorie enjoyed skiing and exploring the outdoors through four-wheeling. Her creative talents were highlighted through her exceptional needlework, and her love of literature meant that she was often found with a book in hand.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Chris Daring; her grandchildren, Sarah, Noel, and Erick Daring; and her great-grandchildren, Jordyn Daring, Ty, Ava, and Aiden Sisneros, along with Jake Steinmaier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Doering; her children, Andrew and Jesse Daring; and her brother, Bruce Morrison.

Marjorie Ruth Morrison will be remembered for her indomitable spirit, her fervor for education, and her unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.  She will be missed.
