Marjie Bennett

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marjie Bennett on Friday, April 19, 2024, in Gulfport, MS, at the age of 82.

Marjie was born on June 15, 1941, in California. She was raised in a military family and in the Assembly of God church.  She enjoyed going to movies and amusement parks of any kind. 

She will be deeply missed but forever treasured in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy will endure through the memories and stories shared by loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband of 49 years, Joe Bennett, Sr.; her parents, Lloyd and Clara Benedict; her brother, Michael Benedict; her sister, Marie Benedict and grandson, Christopher Milke.

She is survived by 3 children, Joe Bennett, Jr., Clara Larish (Tim), and Lloyd Bennett (Heather); her 7 grandchildren, Destiny Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Kristian Milke, Brittni Stimeling, Devin Bennett, Blake Bennett and Kayla Powell; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends. 

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS.   The procession will leave at 12:45 p.m., going to Biloxi National Cemetery for the Graveside Service at 1:30 p.m., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
