Marion Gibson Kelly, age 76 of Saucier, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah C. Gibson; her father, Robert J. Gibson; her sisters, Betty Johnson and Joann Wedgeworth; her brothers, James Gibson and Dallard Gibson; and her beloved daughter, Frances Elizabeth Kelly.
Marion is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles R. Kelly, Sr.; her children, Veronica "Sissy" Tracy (Craig S.), Lori Kelly Redmond, and Charles R. Kelly, Jr. (Juanita); her 14 grandchildren; her 27 great grandchildren; her siblings, Phyllis Gross (Jerry), Sarah Hilburn (Bennie), and Elizabeth Jones (Lamar); and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was a caregiver for the past 10 years, worked as a school cafeteria cook, and was a McDonald's biscuit maker for 6-7 years. She was an award-winning biscuit maker.
Marion enjoyed playing cards, such as canasta and cribbage with her 2 sisters, Sarah and Phyllis. She also loved working puzzles, sewing, cooking, and most of all having family get togethers.
She was a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and was a Red, White, and Blue Republican.
The family wants to thank her Cancer Team at Gulfport Memorial and Dr. Hightown, her Kare-in-Home Nurse, and to her many caregivers who spent days caring for her in our time of need. Thanks to everyone who prayed with her and came by to make her day special with songs and prayers.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 10, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation from 12:30 PM until the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
