Marie Mason, 87, of Gulfport, died on Monday, August 9, 2010 at her residence in Lakeview Nursing Center.
Born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, December 16, 1922, to John and Elizabeth Schliegelmeyer, Marie went on to establish one of the first residence along Dedeaux Rd in Gulfport. Mrs. Mason was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Golden Mason; her daughter RoseMarie Wyrosdick; parents, John and Elizabeth Schliegelmeyer; sisters Elizabeth (Lizzy), Lydia, Amelia (Molly), Catherine (Katie), Rosanna (Rosie) and Margaret (Maggie); brothers Johnny, William (Willy) and John.
Marie is survived by her step-daughter Jerry Bradley; her son-in-law Paul Wyrosdick; and her grandson Todd Storey.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 5:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N Gulfport. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
