Marie Borzik

Marie Eulalie Boyd Borzik passed away Monday, October 5, 2009.
Marie was born in Bay St. Louis, Ms on October 20, 1915 to Alice Conn Guardia and Francis Forrest Guardia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mildred Tyner and Emma (Tookie) Fillingame, and a twin brother Charles Guardia.
She is survived by a twin brother Robert Guardia and his wife Margie. Marie grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi. Until 1986 she was married to the late Deward Gaston Boyd Sr. for over 50 years. They had three sons who were her pride and joy: Deward Gaston, Jr., wife Helen; Robert Charles, wife Carolyn; and Derek Earl, wife Paige. She was the grandmother of Judson, D.J., Linsey, and twins Kelsi and Caylee, and great grandmother to Austin. Marie was a happy, exuberant lady with much love for her boys and for all little kids, especially the ones she babysat with. She had many friends and enjoyed aÌ‚â‚Å“keeping upâ₝ with her acquaintances. Her special spirit and joie de vivre will be missed . Marie married the late Louis M. Borzik in 2002. Marie is also survived by many much loved nieces and nephews, especially her loving caregiver and grandniece, Marcia Kay Hardy.
Funeral services will be Friday, 9 October, 2009 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, at 1:00 PM . Friends are invited to join the family one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
