Marianne ""Mickey"" Northington Muller, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by family on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
She was a native of Hickory, MS, but had called the MS Gulf Coast her home for 46 years. She was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was active in numerous church activities. Mickey was a devout Christian who led by example and loved her church & church family.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, John Pascal Williams and Grace McMillan Williams; her brother, Charles Harold Williams; husbands, William Atkins Northington and Karl C.P. Muller.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Atkins Northington (Terry) and Ann Northington Wallace (Butch); grandchildren, Erin Moore, Zachary Atkins Northington, William Austin Wallace, and Matthew Northington Wallace; great grandchildren, Tyler, Faith, and Joseph Breeland; brother, Jack Williams (June) and sister, Margaret McArthur, extended family, Donna Montenegro (Joseph), Amy and Laura Beth.
Mickey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend, who was loved by all who knew her. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren who fondly called her ""Mimi"". Mickey also loved to garden, was an excellent cook, enjoyed politics and reading, and having fun with family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and the sweetest laugh. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Memorial Hospital Gulfport ICU; Dr. Abha Mishra, Dr. Jeffery Marcus, and nurses Missy Carroll and Teresa Hayes for their exceptional care.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 12'Noon at Mississippi City United Methodist Church in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mississippi City United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall Fund, 219 Courthouse Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
