Marian Epperson May

Marian Elizabeth (Epperson) May, 53, of Pass Christian, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at her home in Lucedale, MS, after a hard fight with COPD and congestive heart failure.
Mrs. May was born in Baton Rouge, LA. As a child, she grew up in Long Beach, MS. However, she spent the majority of her life in Pass Christian/Delisle with her family. She was the daughter-in-law of Doy and Mavis May. She was a member of the West Harrison Volunteer Fire Department and she was the Secretary for a few years. She was also employed as District Manager of JR, Food Mart for about 15 years.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her father, George Bavin Epperson; her grandfather, Reed Millard Winstead; her grandmother, Beatrice Pavolini Winstead; and her step-father, Levan Joseph Ladner.
Survivors include her husband, Tillman Dewayne May of Lucedale; daughter Patricia Elizabeth Stansbury Flake; step-daughters, Christie Toland; Melissa Black; her grandsons, Brandon Anthony Flake; Matthew Anthony Flake, Brandon Toland, Tyler Black; her granddaughters, Kristen Elizabeth Flake, Lisa Toland, Brittany Toland, Breanna Black; her great-granddaughter, Aurora Dawn Toland; her mother, Shirley Elizabeth Ladner; her brothers, James ""Jimmy"" Millard Epperson, Sr., Wayne Frank Epperson; William ""Billy"" Bavin Epperson; Bryan Keith Epperson (Angelia); 5 nephews; 6 nieces; and numerous close friends and extended relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at New Delisle Cemetery, Pass Christian.
