Marian Elizabeth Daniels, 86 of Gulfport died on Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Daniels was a native of Pensylvania and a graduate of St. Petersburg High School in Florida. She was a business woman on the coast who worked as an interior decorator. She had a big impact on the coast's dAÌ©cor, including the Broadwater Hotel. She was a member of the Hansboro United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Leon Daniels Sr., her daughter, Patricia Edith Daniels; Parents, Howard and Nola Canning, sisters; Rose Ann Hester, Eleanor Geoffrey, and Prisilla Mize.
Survivors include sons Eugene Leon Daniels, Jr., of Mobile, Al, Howard Melvin Daniels of Dallas, TX, Richard Conrad Daniels of Kansas City, MO, and William Hunter Daniels, Ph.D., of Auburn, AL; daughters Lucille Louise Murphy of Apple Valley, CA, Nola Frances Ladner of Long Beach, MS and Rise Elizabeth Daniels of Hartford, CT; a sister Alice Buxton; a brother Howard Canning, Jr.; 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2pm until 3pm on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, MS.
Services will be held at 3pm on Monday in the funeral home chapel, with interment following in Floral Hills Cemetery.
