Maria Ester Temple

Maria Ester Temple, age 90, passed away on July 7, 2024 in Gulfport. She was born in Santa Cruz, Graciosa, Portugal on May 13, 1934 to Higinio and Palmira Dasilva. She came to the United States in the 1960’s, and married Thomas Temple of Biloxi, Mississippi.

She was a devoted catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woolmarket.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Jackson Temple; parents Higinio and Palmira Dasilva; and 8 siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria M. Harrison (Jack) of Woolmarket, and Lillie Tice (Marty), Parker, TX; three grandchildren, Rachel Harrison-Woodard (David) of Saucier, Matthew Tice of McKinney, TX, Andrew Tice (Kylie) of Plano, TX; one great grandchild, Ella Woodard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 8343 Woolmarket Rd. Biloxi, MS. Entombment will follow at Southern Memorial Park Mausoleum, Biloxi.
