Margie Bernice Robertson Walle, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, December 4, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Henry Edward Walle.
Born January 18, 1923 in Sumrall, Mississippi, she grew up in Mississippi during the Depression. As an adult, lived in New Orleans, where she worked for Bell South for 33 years. She retired to Pass Christian, Mississippi with her husband Henry. Together they survived Hurricane Camille. After surviving two major brain surgeries, the death of her husband, and the loss of her home to Hurricane Katrina, Margie moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida with her daughter and son-in-law, and then finally to Dawsonville, Georgia. Margie will be remembered for her love for the Lord, her love and generosity for her family, her independent spirit, and her inner beauty that shined on everyone she met.
She leaves behind two children: Raymond Richard and Dolores Richard Colon, six grandchildren with one deceased, 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren with one on the way, two brothers: Lavon (Bob) Robertson and James Robertson; two sisters: Evelyn Casrill and Barbara Duffy, and countless friends.
Margie will live on in the hearts of the multitude that she inspired. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, December 11, 2009, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, on 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, Mississippi, 39531 (228) 374-1188. Viewing is from 9:30-11:30 AM and chapel service at 11:30AM. She will be buried at the Biloxi National Cemetery next to her husband Henry.
