Margaret Wieting, 66, went to meet her heavenly father on Monday, October 8, 2007 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Mrs. Wieting was a caring and giving mother. Born in Risco, Missouri, she served as a Captain and dietician in the United States Air Force. She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for thirty years and was an active member of Bel-Aire Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Wieting also formerly served as President of the PTA in the Harrison County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wieting; and her parents, Edward and Mable Kellick. Survivors include her son, Cory Wieting and wife, Sharon of Gulfport; her daughter, Shawn Renee Wieting of Gulfport; two brothers, Ronald Kellick and wife, Becky of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Carl Kellick and wife, Karen of Streamwood, Illinois; sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Cain; brother-in-law, Bobby Wieting; five nephews, Roy King, Jr., Kyle King, Jim Cain, Clay Wieting and Tim Kellick; and five nieces, Shannon Avanzi, Lisa Kellick, Kimberly Kellick, Krystal Kellick and Tina Kellick. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Friends are invited to join the Wieting family for visitation, Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 6:00 unitl 9:00 p.m. at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy. 49 North in Gulfport. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bel-Aire Baptist Church with Reverend Lowry Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Moon, Charles Hadden, Ed Kuehling, Gary Weatherly, Daron Simpson and Bryce Fowler. Friends may visit one hour prior to services. Interment will be held in Alvin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Bel-Aire Baptist Church Building Fund.
