Margaret Moran

Margaret Moran, age 80, of Gulfport, passed away Sunday October 10, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Daniel Joseph Moran, Sr., and her parents, Frank and Rosemary Blackmarr.

She is survived by sister, Rosie Finley; her sons, Gregory Edmond Moran and Daniel J. Moran, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Randie Moran; grandchildren, Hayden Moran, Lily Tynes, Connor Moran, Ryan Moran and Derek Moran; and great-grandchildren, Grady Moran and Kelly James Moran.

Born on December 26, 1940 in Gulfport, Margaret was a homemaker and the bookkeeper for her husband's business, Central Paint and Supply Company. She raised her two sons in the Catholic tradition and supported their educational and extracurricular endeavors. An accomplished pianist, Margaret also provided music lessons for children in her neighborhood. After her husband retired and sold the family business, Margaret worked as a cashier with a local casino until her diagnosis of Alzhiemer's disease. She lived at home with her husband until 2018 at which time she became a resident at Woodland Village nursing home.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 10:00AM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
