Margaret ""Peggy"" Lovato was born Margaret Mae Carlson on March 3, 1951, in Providence, RI to Edwin Carlson and Ann Mae Burdick. She was raised in Rhode Island and later moved to Nebraska where she met the love of her life, Sam Lovato. After his return from the Vietnam War they were married and started their family together. They later moved back to Rhode Island where she raised her two sons, Samuel P. Lovato and Christopher E. Lovato. She had many friends and was known by her sons, friends for her kindness and large heart. She would take them in and feed them and clothe them whenever they needed her. In 1991, they transferred to Mississippi where her son Chris met his wife and gave her 3 grandchildren whom she was very proud of and loved more than life, Kasey Ryan Lovato, Karlie Rhae Lovato, and her only grandson Christopher Blake Lovato. She also had 2 great-grandchildren, (Jayden and Londyn) she adored. Her favorite daily routine was to watch Young and the Restless then call her best friend and sister-in-law, Peggy Mata, and gossip. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved Dale Jr.!!
She passed away March 3, 2014. (Her 63rd birthday) Her husband Sam, her 2 sons (Sammy and Chris), and her daughter-in-law (Linda) were all by her side as she moved on to Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann; her father, Edwin, and her sister-in-law, Stella Martinez.
She leaves behind a sister, Barbara (Cleveland, OH) brother, Richard (Rhode Island); her best friend and sister-in-law, Peggy Mata and her brother-in-law, Leroy Lovato (Omaha, NE) and many nieces and nephews in Nebraska and Rhode Island. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She will stay with her loving husband Sam (of 43 years) until such time as he passes and they will be laid to rest together at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
