Margaret Ladnier

March 2, 1928 — September 12, 2011

Margaret Tollison Ladnier, 83, of Pass Christian, MS, passed away Monday, September 12, Gulfport. She was born March 2, 1928 in Ackerman, MS and was a lifelong resident of the Coast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nola Wray Tollison and Samuel Creighton Tollison; her husband Milton J. Ladnier; her sister Irene Tollison and her brother Samuel Rudolph ""Rudy"" Tollison.
She is survived by nieces, Sylvia (Billy) Thornton of Gulfport, MS, Rhonda (Don) Jones of Anchorage, AK, Rosemary (Arthur) Doss of Jacksonville, FL and Patricia (Griff) Ladner, Joplin, MO, and sister-in-law Imogene Tollison Berry.
Margaret was a lifelong member of Pass Christian First Baptist Church, where she took much pleasure volunteering in numerous church staff functions and church events. She followed her mother as a member of Eastern Star. Many years ago she especially enjoyed volunteering in the newborn nursery at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. She and her husband shared a deep love for music as he played several instruments.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Lakeview Nursing Center, Gulfport, MS for the loving care and concern they provided for Margaret.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Noon at First Baptist Church of Pass Christian, located at 322 East Second Street where friends and family may visit one hour before the service. Interment will immediately follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens and will be handled by RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Margaret T. Ladnier or First Baptist Church of Pass Christian, MS.
