Margaret Ann Kirtley, 61, of Long Beach, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2009 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Carolyn Hughes of Little Rock, AR. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Stephen) Kapolka of Carriere, MS.
Ms. Kirtley was born in Palestine, TX. She was a school teacher in Arkansas and an accomplished needlework designer while residing on the Florida and Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The family requests memorial donations to one of these organizations: St. Thomas Catholic Church, P.O. Box 1529, Long Beach, MS 39560; Maine Coon Rescue, 304 First Avenue West, Franklin, KY 42134; or Save Our Cats and Kittens, 498 Carmel Dr, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Daughtery Rd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediatley follow the visitation at the church. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian, MS. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd, Long beach is in charge of arrangements.
