Margaret Juanita Hammons

Mrs. Margaret Juanita Hammons, age 88, resident of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009.
Mrs. Hammons was born in Gulfport to the late Aaron and Alma Bond Allen. She was married to the love of her life, Henry Edgar, for 73 years until his death on June 23 of this year. She lived her life for her family, keeping a home for her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. She enjoyed spending time playing cards with friends and familyâ₦and winning.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; son, Henry A. """"Butch"""" Hammons; brothers, Henry A. Allen, Jr. and Robert M. Allen, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Donald Hammons of Long Beach, Ronald Hammons of Long Beach, and Lynn Hammons of Biloxi; sisters, Norma Jean Collins, Shirley Cuevas, and Alice Mae Lewis; brothers, Jerry and Richard Allen; grandchildren, Terry Hammons, Sue Hammons, Lindy Hammons, Kelli Jones, Rusty Hammons, Timothy Hammons, Angie Carter, Steven Hammons, Keith Hammons, Ronnie Hammons, and Randy Hammons; 26 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, where friends may visit from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, where friends may also visit one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
