Marcus Helvey

Marcus Helvey of Kiln, Mississippi, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born December 12, 1971, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Alpha Helvey, Jr. and Martha Clement Helvey Lowman.

Marcus passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Mississippi at the age of 50.

He received his education from Sheridan Schools and was a graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a very mechanically minded person, fixing anything with an engine and his hands were grease stained to prove it.

Survivors include a daughter, Abby Helvey of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister, Tamara Massey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Alpha Helvey III of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his long-time partner, Kate Ramsey of Kiln, Mississippi and her children and grandchildren. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian, served the family.

A private memorial graveside service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022, at Clement Cemetery in Grapevine, Arkansas.
