Marcelle Rita Vidacovich, 89, and formerly of Long Beach, MS, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at The Guest House in Baton Rouge, LA.
Mrs. Vidacovich was born in New Orleans on October 14, 1918, later residing in Long Beach, MS for most of her life until moving to Baton Rouge in October 2003.
Marcelle worked for Lyon's Jewelry Store in Gulfport, MS, later devoting much of her life as caregiver of her aging parents. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach for many years. Recently a highlight of her life occurred in January of this year when she was crowned Queen of the Krewe of the Sunshine Bunch Mardi Gras Ball at The Guest House where she resided.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul J. Vidacovich, Sr.; and mother, Wilhelmina Henderson Vidacovich.
Marcelle is survived by her brother, P. J. Vidacovich, Jr.; a nephew, Paul L. Vidacovich and family; a niece, Fran and Mark Bell and family; and a cousin, Audrey Henderson Ray and family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, 19361 28th Street, Long Beach, MS. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, MS. is in charge of the arrangements.
