Marc Day, age 53, of Diamondhead, was taken suddenly from us on July 3rd, leaving behind a wide circle of friends and family in Florida and Mississippi.
His engaging personality was enjoyed by these friends in aerospace and motorsports alike, appropriate for an enthusiastic gear head like Marc.
He was a motocross champion and a successful FTR Enduro racer. MarcaÌ‚â‚â„¢s skill, dedication and perseverance also allowed him to successfully compete as a nationally ranked AMA professional road racer. His career in the launch industry spanned two decades of commercial, military and scientific Aerospace Missions. MarcaÌ‚â‚â„¢s drive and expertise in Quality Control helped ensure the success of the Tomahawk, Atlas, Titan, and Aries Programs.
WhataÌ‚â‚â„¢s less known, except to a smaller circle of friends and neighbors, was his compassionate drive to unselfishly help others, leading to lifelong friendships to those he touched. HeaÌ‚â‚â„¢s dearly loved by his mother Betty, and his father Bobby. HeaÌ‚â‚â„¢ll always and forever live in our hearts.
A celebration of life service will be held tonight at The Crows Nest, 451 Yacht Club Dr., Diamondhead, MS, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
