Major John R. McKenzie, Ret, U.S.Air Force, age 80, of Gulfport, passed away on July 7, 2011 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna McKenzie; a brother, James McKenzie; and his mother, Ola Kenworthy.
He is survived by his children, Allison McKenzie of Stockton, CA, Brian McKenzie and his wife, Christine, of Ennis, Ireland, and Andrew McKenzie and his wife, Sacha, of Baldwyn Harbor, NY.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years before retirement.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport with a visitation from 1:30 PM until the service.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
