Mae Adams Parker, age 86, of Delisle, passed away on April 20, 2012 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer H. Parker, Sr; her parents, John and Lionell Adams; three brothers, Roy Adams, John Adams, and Emile Adams; and a sister in law, Ivy Adams.
She is survived by her son, E.J. (Cathy) Parker of Ocean Springs, MS and her daughter, Peggy Parker of Waveland, MS; two grandchildren, Jimi VanAlstyne and Amanda Parker Gonzales; four great grandchildren, Parker VanAlstyne, Ivy VanAlstyne, Reese Gonzales, and Jay Parker Gonzales; a sister, Audrey Necaise of New Orleans, LA; and a brother, Paul (Mary) Templet of Mandeville, LA.
She was a member of St Stephens Parish in Delisle and was a choir member there as well as St Williams and St Ann's Catholic churches. She was a former director of the Senior Citizens Center in Pass Christian. An expert seamstress, she also enjoyed fishing and made and collected dolls. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Delisle Cemetery.
