Mae Hayes

There was a grand celebration in heaven on March 24, 2014, as Mae Alice Savarese Hayes, age 85, entered into the realm of Glory. There to greet her were her beloved son, Glenn Duane Hayes; parents, John and Susie Savarese; several siblings; and a host of other family and friends. She is survived by three grandchildren, Christy, Christopher, and Alex; five great-grandchildren, Rebekah, James, Quinn, Asher, and Theodore; her sister Helen; and her brother Russell.
Mae was a faithful servant to her Lord, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She most recently attended First Assembly of God in Gulfport, MS. She retired from a career at Mississippi Power in 1984.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport with the funeral service at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Assembly of God or the American Cancer Society.
