Madonna Grace Peterson, age 62, of Waveland, MS passed away peacefully and surrounded by her daughter, son-in-law, and her four sisters on Monday, September 21, 2020.
Madonna was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County and graduate of Bay High School class of 1976. She was a devoted mother, Mimi, sister, and aunt. She was of the Catholic faith and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. Madonna loved to travel, holidays, and spending time with family. She worked for South Coast Electric in Bay St. Louis as the Executive Administrator.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gracie Lou Peterson and John Edgar Peterson. Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Greg Dupuy, Bonaire GA; two grandchildren Bryton and Bree Dupuy; four sisters Tina Stiglet (John), Kay Morris (Rod), Judith “Linne” Searles (John), and Michele Peterson; and eight nieces and nephews Aaron Morris (Jess), Cody Swilley, Kayla Woodcock, Jonathan Stiglet, Shawn Bilbo, Brynae Necaise, Amanda Grisham (Ross), and Coleton Swilley (Danielle).
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, MS, followed by a Mass of Christian burial officiated by Father Braxton Necaise at 11:00 am. Following the mass, Madonna will be laid to rest in Waveland Cemetery.
