Mrs. Mable Lear Morris, 90, of Gulfport passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Morris was born December 4, 1920 in State Line, MS. She was a breast cancer survivor.
She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, where she helped establish the JOY Group and was a member of Dorcas Sunday School and Inspirations. Mrs. Morris retired from the Harrison County School District as a Cafeteria Manager. She enjoyed cooking for family and friend and working in her flower beds.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge and Alma Williams; first husband, William H. Lear; second husband, Ray C. Morris; siblings, Burnell Reynolds and Marion Williams; and great granddaughter, Ryleigh Hollifield.
She is survived by her sons, Billy W. (Charlotte) Lear of Richlands, NC and Jim (Cheri) Morris; daughters, Sandra (Tommy) Jones of Gulfport, Alma Rita Franke of Gulfport, and Linda (David) Petrie of Dyersburg, TN; grandchildren, Mike Lear, Tammy Justice, Lisa Brown, Tanya Estep, Kyle Jones, Bethany Gipson, Brittany Dubuisson, Lanie Spears, Stacey Friend, Misty Sigler, Wendy Hollifield, Kim, Lynnee, Danny, Patti, and Donna; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tilley, the staff of Driftwood Nursing Home, Dr. Boles, and the 4th floor nursing staff at Memorial Hospital.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at RIEAMNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
