Lynn Moore

Lynn Moore, age 80 of Long Beach, MS passed away Saturday, September 25th, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.

Lynn Mears was born in Richmond, VA. on October 21st, 1940 to the late Alton Mears and Florence Rolston Mears. When Lynn was a child her father passed away. Her mother met and married Howard Sadler, the wonderful father who raised her. Lynn attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Newport News, VA. Lynn met and married Alvah Banks of Gulfport, MS. while he was stationed in Virginia. They later moved back to Gulfport, MS. Years later, she met and married Joseph Moore of Long Beach, MS. where they made their home.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Alton Mears; her mother, Florence Sadler; her stepfather, Howard Sadler; the father of her children, Alvah Banks; the love of her life, Joseph Moore; her brother Bernard Mears; her son, William (Billy) Banks; and her niece, Georgia Sharpe Shell.

Lynn is survived by her sisters, Mary Sharpe (Wayne), Theresa Larson (Jim), and Sarah Kiplinger; her daughter, Karen Fayard (Kirk); her stepchildren, Matthew Moore, Tracey Moore, Rozanna Lynch, and Christina Curtis; and her beloved grandchildren, Timothy Barnes and Bradley Barnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach, MS. Mass will be at 10:30 AM, with interment following at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
