Lynda Cowart Odom, age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011, in Gulfport.
She was a member of the Christian Worship Center in Gulfport and she enjoyed crocheting. She was ana excellent cook and a ""maw maw"" to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon ""Red"" Odom, and 2 children, Eddie Dykes and Betty Ferrill.
Survivors include her children, Elvin Dykes, Ernie Dykes, Curtis Dykes, Bobby Dykes, and Vernon Odom; 1 brother, Stanley Cowart; 3 sisters, Vivian, Lizette, and Dot; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
The funeral service will be at 3 pm Monday, March 28, at the Christian Worship Center, 14384 3rd Ave., Lyman, where friends may visit from 2-3 pm.
Interment will be in Finley Cemetery on Highway 53.
Memorials may be sent to the Christian Worship Center.
