Lydia """"Scottie"""" Luker, age 80 and a resident of Long Beach, died Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Luker was a native of Ayrschire, Scotland, and was a past member of the Open Gulf Watch Seabee Radio Club.
Mrs. Luker was preceded in death by her parents, John Watson McClung and Agnes Mitchell McClung; her husband, Curtis Ira Luker; and four brothers in Scotland.
Survivors include her son, Norman W. Luker and his wife, Beri, of Long Beach; his daughter, Margaret Bazzell and her husband, Richard, of Pass Christian; four grandchildren, Brett Luker, Jason """"Rusty"""" Luker and his wife, Susan; Richard Bazzell, Jr. and his wife, Becky; Norma McCaleb and husband, Jeff; nine great-grandchildren, Braden McCaleb, Tyler McCaleb, Haley Bazzell, Allison McCaleb, Alexis Bazzell, Savannah Bazzell, Curtis Paul Bazzell, Kyle Drake Luker, a step-great-grandchild, Ryan Page; and her dog, Bitsy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
The family will receive friends at North Long Beach Baptist Church on Saturday, January 5, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
